Zeke 2012 - Day 51 - Hang-Gliding

Sunday, December 23, 2012
We woke up to find candy canes hanging all over our Christmas tree and living room.

Zeke had made a hang-glider out of candy cane wrapping paper and was flying around the house dropping off candy canes!

Have a safe flight back to the North Pole, Zeke! We'll see you next year. :)

Zeke 2012 - Day 50 - Cupcakes

Zeke was baking in the kitchen again! :)

What a treat! Chocolate cupcakes with sprinkles!

We visited relatives today and took the cupcakes along to share.

Zeke 2012 - Day 49 - Trampoline

Saturday, December 22, 2012
Overnight Zeke had set up the boys' new indoor trampoline!

He wrote us a note saying he had tested it out and it was lots of fun. He actually jumped so high, he got stuck to the ceiling!

Zeke 2012 - Day 48 - Marshmallow Snowmen

Friday, December 21, 2012
The boys rushed out of their rooms to look for Zeke but they couldn't find him. They asked mom and dad for help and we all searched the house together. Dad and Ezra finally found him when they opened the refrigerator door to get a drink. He was on a shelf with a bag of big marshmallows and had been making marshmallow snowman! They boys had fun making one too.

Zeke 2012 - Day 47 - Alpha-Bits

Thursday, December 20, 2012
Zeke was on the dining room table in a bowl full of cereal.

He brought us some Alpha-Bits!

He set out some Christmas bowls and cups for the boys and he spelled their names with the cereal letters above their place-mats.

Zeke 2012 - Day 46 - Sick Day!

Wednesday, December 19, 2012
Everyone in our family caught a cold. This morning Isaiah found Zeke in the living room. He was sitting in a tissue box and blowing his nose in a little tissue! He left us a note saying that he hopes we feel better and he brought us tissue packs, chap-stick, cough drops and hand sanitizer.

Zeke 2012 - Day 45 - TP Roll

Tuesday, December 18, 2012
Isaiah woke up and walked out of his room into the hallway. I heard him say, "What is going on?" He found toilet paper all over the upstairs hall. It was hanging from our bedrooms doors and on the floor. At the top of the steps there was a large bag of toilet paper rolls (that daddy brought home from the store the night before and left there).

The bag was ripped open and when we looked down the stairs, we saw Zeke was inside one of the toilet paper rolls and he had rolled down the stairs! His note said he was trying to make it look like we had snow and he was going to try sledding down the stairs in a TP roll.

Zeke 2012 - Day 44 - Reading

Monday, December 17, 2012
Zeke was in the older boys' room. He had put all of their Christmas books from their shelf into their book basket (we rotate which books are in the basket per season/holiday). We noticed the basket was toppled over and Christmas books were all over the floor.

We followed the trail and found Zeke on the top of their book shelf with some more Christmas books! He was wearing his little black glasses and was reading The Night Before Christmas.

Zeke 2012 - Day 43 - Muffin Breakfast

Sunday, December 16, 2012
Zeke made us muffins for breakfast with little Christmas trees and snowmen on top.

He left a bit of mess in the kitchen (flour and red and green chocolate chips) but he cleaned it up after we went to bed. We had some more Christmas cocoa with our muffins this morning!

Zeke 2012 - Day 42 - Christmas Countdown

Saturday, December 15, 2012
10 days until Christmas!

Zeke was on the top of our light above our dining room table. And hanging from the light was a paper chain numbered 1-10. Zeke left us a note telling us to cut off one link every morning and that would tell us how many days were left until Christmas day!

Zeke 2012 - Day 41 - Cocoa

Friday, December 14, 2012
Today Zeke was in the kitchen in a snowflake mug!

He had a marshmallow beard that looked like Santa's. There were marshmallows all over the cook-top and to our pleasant surprise, brand new Christmas mugs and plates with different flavors of cocoa and gingerbread cookies!

Isaiah loved the penguin cup and Ezra loved the Santa cup. They enjoyed trying different flavors of cocoa and picking how many marshmallows to put in their cup. So fun and delicious!

(Mugs and plates are from the 2012 Target collection.)

Zeke 2012 - Day 40 - Wall Decals

Thursday, December 13, 2012
The boys woke up and immediately ran through the hallway into our room saying they were ready to get up and look for Zeke. It way too early so I told them to go back in their beds and relax with a book until it was time for breakfast. A very short while later, they ran back down the hallway and told me that Zeke was in there room! He had put Mario and Luigi stickers on the wall space above their beds. He was also on the wall and looked like he was in a video game level! The boys got a kick out of it and loved the new wall decals for their room (which are easy to put on and take off to rearrange and don't do any damage to the paint).

Zeke 2012 - Day 39 - Donut Reindeer

Wednesday, December 12, 2012
Zeke was in the dining room on a plate with donuts, pretzels, M&Ms and marshmallows. He made us cute reindeer donuts for breakfast!

Zeke 2012 - Day 38 - Underwear

Tuesday, December 11, 2012
On our fireplace mantle where our stockings usually hang, we found Zeke replaced them with our underwear!

What a prankster.

Zeke 2012 - Day 37 - Motorcycle

Monday, December 10, 2012
Today Zeke was riding a toy motorcycle on the top of the mirror in our family room.

He left a note saying he was up having motorcycle races. The boys guessed that he must have won because he had the biggest bike and his magic probably made him faster. He left out a bunch of motorcycles and monster trucks for the boys to race.

Zeke 2012 - Day 36 - Card Games

Sunday, December 9, 2012
The boys found Zeke on a shelf by the Christmas tree playing cards with some of their favorite characters (Yoshi, Luigi, Sonic and Tails).

The boys thought Zeke must have quietly flew in their bedroom and borrowed some friends to play a game with!

He left us a brand new card game (Angry Birds) for our family to play together and we played it ALL day. It's such a fun family game.

Zeke 2012 - Day 35 - Rudolph

Saturday, December 8, 2012
Ezra's preschool class learned a new reindeer (in the order of the song) every day starting on the first of December. After they made it to Rudolph, the class got to take turns taking the reindeer home. It was Ezra's turn to bring them home on Friday. This morning we found Zeke in the living room. He had lined up all of the reindeer in order on top of the window.

He was sitting on Rudolph's back in the front of the line!

On the couch we found Zeke's note along with a brand new book, the original story of Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. We read the book and sang the song many times.

Ezra's preschool Christmas play and party were later than day. Santa was there and he sang Rudolph with the kids! They were proud to know all of the reindeer names.
